Spring is finally here! In Upstate New York, you never know what the weather will be. The mornings can start off damp and cold and by the afternoon it can be sunny and 70 so layering is key. This spring wardrobe capsule has some great transitional essentials and timeless classics that you can wear year after year. What is a wardrobe capsule?

A capsule wardrobe is a collection of clothing items that can work together to create multiple different outfits. For this capsule I chose a lot of neutral, classic pieces that never go out of style so you can get the most use out of them. Think basic tees for layering, button down tops, classic jeans, linen blend dresses, etc. This is just to get you started and certainly you can add your own personal style to it.

My favorite cozy finds for winter

Now that colder temps are here, and being a homebody, I am embracing the cozy aesthetic. I’m sharing my favorite cozy finds for winter. Comfortable loungewear sets, pajamas, slippers and things to live your best cozy life during the dead of winter. So curl up and make the most of the dark evenings and those to come.

Cozy Loungewear

This set – lazy mode activate.

Oversized hoodie – I just want to lay in this all day, curl up and read a book.

Spanx Air Essentials Wide Leg Yoga Pants– these are Oprah’s favorite. A little pricey but they say they feel like butter.

Microfleece Joggers – I have a pair of these from Old Navy and they are sooo comfy.

Fleece Sweatshirt – fleece lined and pairs well with jeans or sweats.

Pajamas

Pajama romper – I just bought this from Old Navy this past weekend.

Lightweight Set – this looks soft and breathable if you get overheated at night.

Flannel Pajamas – in a variety of prints and sizes so you can match with the family.

Slippers

These Slippers – I got these as a gift and I love them.

Faux Rabbit Fur Slides – These are cute, almost like a birkenstock slipper.

Accessories

Mug – Coffee or tea would just taste better in this mug

Candle – with notes of pine, orange, cinnamon and vetiver

I have been in love with the Coastal Grandmother aesthetic since I was little and saw Father of the Bride. I dreamt of living in that house and having a kitchen with my pots and pans hanging from the kitchen ceiling. Which is why whenever I’m cooking I listen to Nancy Meyers Kitchen on spotify.

Coastal grandmother is a feeling of carefree relaxation and being effortlessly put together. It’s being the ultimate hostess, having a bowl of lemons on your kitchen counter, making a delicious meal and having vases of fresh hydrangeas from your garden.
