The first “Nesting” of 2022. So get a cup of your favorite warm beverage and cozy up.
Alexa told me this morning it’s 9 degrees, yikes!
We’re 8 days into 2022 and it feels like we’re getting off to a rough start if I’m being honest. This year I didn’t really have the energy to make resolutions or choose a word. This year my intentions are just to read more books, keep my family healthy and be a better mom and wife. And I’m perfectly ok with that.
My 2022 Vibe
Speaking of books, I made a list of 22 books I want to read in 2022. You can see them all here. Because there’s nothing better than getting lost in a book.
For breakfast this morning I’m making banana bread french toast. My homemade banana bread is a favorite and super easy to make. Also, with the pandemic, are we going to go back to making homemade bread again? Here’s the recipe.
We woke up to snow yesterday. Thinking of maybe taking the kids sledding this weekend. How cute is this inflatable tobaggan?
Another fun thing we like to do when we get fresh snow is make snow ice cream. We’ve been making it for a few years now. Click here for the recipe.
This week I started watching “Yellowjackets” on Showtime. It tells the story of a high school girl’s soccer team that’s stranded when their plane crashes and their lives 25 years later as people want to know about what truly happened. I just started episode 7 and it’s getting pretty creepy!
We also rented Sing 2 for our Friday Pizza Picnic. It is sooo cute and I’m obsessed with the soundtrack! My favorite is the new version of “I Say a Little Prayer For You” by Tori Kelley and Pharrell. You can hear it here.
In case you missed it, this week I re-opened my Etsy shop now that the holidays are over. If you’re looking for a customized gift or personalized piece of decor, go and take a look. I’d love to create something for you!
