Welcome to Nesting, where I share what’s been happening on the blog, and share some of my favorite things from the week! So grab a cup of coffee or whatever warm bevvy you prefer and curl up!

If I’m being honest, these last 2 weeks have been a blur.  I am grateful for a free weekend with some time to collect my thoughts and be inspired. Because Easter is 2 weeks away and I’ve got a few more cute ideas up my sleeve!

My sister and brother in law came home last weekend. It was so good to see them and my sister’s growing bump. We are in full baby shower planning mode and I can’t wait to show you the details!

I recently gave our bedroom a little spring refresh and it was just what my soul needed. Nothing feels as good as fresh, clean sheets am I right? I got these blue and white sheets from Target and I just love the palette for spring. I’m linking them here.

We also did a little updating in our living room. We desperately needed a new couch as ours had seen better days between a dog and 2 boys. We also added a few battery operated sconces (linking them here) and I am obsessed with how it transforms the room and I love the soft glow it adds in the early morning or evenings. They were easy to install too. Well Rick did it but it looked pretty easy 🙂

Happy Daylight Savings! Here is your reminder that today we spring ahead (and lose an hour of sleep). May your coffee be extra strong!

Speaking of coffee, yesterday I got to check out the cutest little coffee shop and bookstore that just opened. If you are local, it’s called Novel Biblio Brew. I actually went to high school with the owner Sara and she has done a beautiful job creating such a cozy space. I hope you will go check it out!

There were some gorgeous versions of some of my most beloved classics, including The Secret Garden and Beauty and the Beast.

Who else feels like this has been the longest winter ever? If you feel like you’ve been in the trenches this month, I am right there with you. Wednesday is the first of March and I’m looking forward to a fresh month, one that brings renewal, spring and celebrates women. Let’s do this!

On my bucket list for March-

  • Exercise 3-4 days/week. I just got a Peloton and am ready to start this week!
  • Drink more water including start each day with a warm glass of lemon water.
  • Make plans for this year’s garden and outdoor space.
  • Make appt for pap smear!!!
  • Support upcoming female entrepreneurs and order girl scout cookies 🙂
  • Make a girl power playlist
  • Refresh spring wardrobe staples
  • Refresh spring bedding (I’ll show you my inspiration below).
  • Get out for at least 1 date night.
  • St Patrick’s Day – bake Irish soda bread and eat a reuben!

Welcome to Nesting, where I recap my week on the blog, and share some of my favorite things from the week! So grab a cup of coffee or whatever warm bevvy you prefer and curl up!

How amazing do those red velvet waffles look? Perfect for your Sunday morning breakfast or for Vday breakfast in bed for your sweetie!

It’s Super Bowl Sunday!!! Are you rooting for the Eagles or the Chiefs? Or if you’re like me, you’re just here for the food, commercials and the halftime show! (Also I still think that no halftime show will ever compare to the Nsync, Britney Spears one circa de 2001).

Oh my gosh we got these new pillows and I slept amazing last night! Felt like sleeping on a cloud!

Do you have plans for Galentine’s or Valentine’s Day? I’m helping out at Dude Man’s Valentine’s Party at school and then we will hang out as a family. I usually do a fun fondue night with all the fixings and then once the kids go to bed Rick and I will try to stay up for a drink together.

Season 4 of “You” came out this week on Netflix? Did you already finish Part 1? Part 2 comes out March 9th!
