Nesting on this chilly September Sunday morning.

I’m just gonna say it. Meg Ryan is officially the queen of fall. You know how we coined Diane Keaton and Meryl Streep as the ultimate coastal grandmother? Well Meg Ryan is the queen of fall and I’m here for the Meg Ryan Fall Aesthetic.

This week NSYNC officially announced what all fans were secretly hoping for and reunited for a new song. Does this mean that a comeback concert is happening? I saw this thing that said “if your year of birth doesn’t start with a 1, I’m gonna ask that you just sit this one out and allow us to live out our fantasy” and I completely agree!

I used to have a jean skirt just like this and I’m pretty sure it was from the Delia’s catalog. It looks like they are making a comeback. Are the 90’s back???

It’s the start of apple picking season and can I just say apples and brie is one of my favorite combos?

I’ve got an apple and brie recipe coming up next week so stay tuned if that’s your thing!

The first Nesting of September.

Hope you all are enjoying your beautiful Labor Day Weekend. We’re getting some last minute pool hangs in before it gets too cool. And this weekend, I will be having a pina colada and cheeseburger in paradise in Jimmy Buffet’s honor. RIP Jimmy.

I always love Labor Day Weekend because it’s like one last hurrah of summer before fall, my two favorite things.

Some things I’m looking forward to in September:

  • Sending the kids off to school and going out to celebrate with mom friends for some mimosas and espresso martinis!
  • Going apple picking.
  • Cooler, sweatshirt weather
  • The start of fall ball.

Nesting on this last Sunday morning of August.

I have been solo with the kids since Thursday night and Rick finally comes home today! Hallelujah! We’ve missed him.

School starts back up in less than 2 weeks. I’m ready to get back into a routine and settle into the coziness that comes with autumn.

I used to love going back to school shopping with my mom when I was younger. It looks just a little different with boys. Obviously we had to go to the new Dick’s Warehouse.

Speaking of back to school, this week I shared this back to school snack mix. I like to leave it out in a little jar so the kids can nibble and help themselves when they come home.

I went to Target earlier this week and the Dollar Spot was rocking with so many cute things for fall. I picked up this little apple basket and decided to make a little teacher gift for when we go meet the teacher and drop off school supplies the day before. Linking it here.

I’m really loving this nail polish color for fall.

Do you get real mums or faux? I’ve been decorating my front porch with these for the past 3 years. What do you think?

Nesting on this beautiful first Sunday in August.

Welcome to Nesting! If you are new here, it is a little round up I do with some random thoughts, all of my favorite finds and things that have been happening on the blog. Grab a cup of coffee and come curl up!

Somehow August snuck in and I can feel fall trying to slowly make it’s appearance. The air has been cooler and breezy and I can almost taste the pumpkin spice. But I’m still trying to savor every last bit of summer.

I saw something on social media this week that really struck a cord with me. Between the Taylor Swift Era’s Tour and the new Barbie movie, this summer is all about reclaiming your girlhood and femininity. Think about when you go out and another woman compliments you on your outfit, it feels good, it’s empowering. Getting dressed up with your best girlfriends and going out to the Swift concert or to see Barbie is a similar experience. Thousands of woman all in the same room who all enjoy the same thing and want the same thing – to be themselves and enjoy their girlhood. Whether you’re a Swiftie or not, or heading to see the Barbie movie or skipping out, I think the moral of the story is we’re in an Era of Women coming together.

Here’s what’s been happening on the blog lately-

I shared my DIY for My Beach Memory Box. If you are going to the beach this summer this is one you will want to do!

The Summer I Turned Pretty – I’m a little late to the party with this one but oh em gee when I say this is the perfect show for all the summer feels. I binged the first season in one day.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with the new season of The Real Housewives of New York City. I’ve long been a fan of the original cast but I have to say I love this new group of ladies.

I just started and finished Don’t Let Her Stay. If you’re in the mood for a psychological thriller that is hard to put down, read this one. I read it in 2 days!
