Nesting - tips for peonies

Nesting on this beautiful Saturday morning in June.

I’m off to a baby shower this morning for a very special family friend.

I’m wearing this dress I just got from Target which seemed to be everyone’s favorite on my Instagram. If you missed it, click here to see what I got. All dresses are currently 20% off at Target now.  So basically you can just call me Meryl because I’ll be channeling my inner Coastal Grandmother. If you don’t know what I’m talking about click here to see what I mean.

Also, can we talk about peony season for a minute? I know that’s one of the things we all share in common in this space, our love for peonies. I wish their beauty would last longer. One of my tips is to cut them when they are a marshmallowy bud, wrap in damp paper towel and store in the refrigerator.  Click here to check out my other tips for peonies if you missed it.

I made the most delicious summer burrata board the other day and I can’t stop thinking about it. I also made it into a salad too and so that’s what I’m basically eating every day for lunch.

Father’s Day is officially 1 week away! Did you see my Father’s Day gift guide? Be sure to check out some of my gift ideas since men are infamous of being hard to shop for 😉

And now for this week’s inspiration

If you’re also all about the coastal vibe, you have to check out Jennifer from Cottage at Bunker Hill. I’m obsessed with this  DIY for this beautiful sea glass beaded garland she made.

These easy rainbow dessert cups are so adorable for summer! Perfect for kids and adults!

Tis the season for graduation parties! And this is a cute DIY graduation gift idea!

And stay tuned next week. Coming up I have patriotic door decor and a cute idea for all of your kid’s artwork at the end of the year.

Enter your email below so you don’t miss a single post!

Nesting

Nesting on this heatwave of a weekend in May.

Oh it has been a hot minute since I did one of these hasn’t it? We’ve been busy with the kid’s sports, yard work, and other have to’s.

1.) And if I’m being honest, I’ve been so wrapped up in the Johnny Depp trial that it has been consuming me. Who else has gone down that rabbit hole?

The other thing I’ve been watching when it’s not the J.D. trial is “The Staircase” on HBO. It’s based on the true crime and you can watch the documentary on Netflix as well. (If you’re a true crime junkie like me, click here to see some of my favorite True Crime docs).

2.) I’m finally getting my garden planted this weekend. Better late than never 🙂

We have to transplant our peonies so if anyone has any tips send them my way.

3.) I have been obsessed with this coffee concoction lately. It was inspired by the new chocolate cold foam cold brew at Starbucks but I like my version better. Click here to see how to make it!

4.) Did you guys see the dress that I recently got from Amazon? I call it my “art teacher chic” look. It’s so comfortable, is loose fitting and has pockets! I’m all about the comfort and coastal grandmother style this summer!

5.) Yesterday on the blog, I shared this week’s Friday Favorites. Click here to see them all!

6.) And introducing Happy Hour Fridays! Come on over to Instagram every Friday evening for Happy Hour to check out the week’s cocktail and come celebrate your week’s wins or just vent. (If you’re not following me on Instagram, click here!) This week’s cocktail was Lilac lemonade with prosecco. Click here for my lilac lemonade recipe and add some prosecco!

And now time to share some of my favorite things I found this week on the interweb.

I’m obsessed with this adorable DIY denim and lace flag from Cindy at DIY Beautify.

This idea from my friend Addy from Two Little Taylors is the sweetest for your kids for the end of the school year. I literally had tears in my eyes.

Or this one from Dana at House of Goldies.

How delish do these lemon blondies look from Rachelle at My Hubbard Home? Need to make these stat.

Hope your weekend is beautiful and you stay cool!

Nesting on this last weekend of March-

(I had to check the calendar and make sure it was the last weekend of March lol). Grab a cup of coffee and come see what happened this week, my recent finds. and some inspiration I found on the web.

This week, it was the release of the bunnies at our house! We are so ready for Easter and I’ve got so many cute Easter and spring ideas up my sleeve.

This week I shared a few of my favorite Spring Finds. You can see them all here.

With the warmer temps, I am excited to get out in the dirt! I ordered my seeds and started planning out this year’s garden. This will be our third year and for those of you who’ve been following for awhile, I wonder if I will make Martha proud? I shared some of my tips on how to start a garden in this post here.

Speaking of Martha, has anyone tried her new wine “Martha’s Chard” in collab with Snoop Dogg? It’s part of his 19 Crimes wines. I just get a kick of of this duo.

And for a delicious snack, you have to try this Bunny Bait. I whipped it up for the kids this week. One night they were out at a hockey game and I had a bowl with a glass of prosecco, it was delish! The Nerds Clusters are my secret ingredient!
