6 Easy fall planter ideas for your front porch

Fall is coming and here are 6 easy fall planter ideas for your front porch.

As soon as the air gets a little chilly and that first leaf hits the ground, one of my favorite things to do is decorate the front porch.  I’ve got some fall inspiration for you with planter box ideas.  Each one is so easy, adorable and will add the right touch of fall to your front porch.

6 easy planter ideas for your fall front porch

1.) Faux mums in wooden barrels – Yes you heard me right, faux mums. I went faux years ago and I’ve never looked back. And wooden barrels make a great fall planter idea.  I think this front porch was possibly my favorite with the cornstalks and all the pumpkins!

 

 

2.) Galvanized buckets – They’re rustic and not only could you use them for planters, but I also think a giant galvanized tub full of pumpkins would be really cute for fall.  I’m showing you how my friend Jen from Tater Tots and Jello decorated her porch. I love the colorful, whimsical vibe don’t you?

 

3.) Planter boxes with trees -Last year I got these faux maple trees on Amazon and they’ve quickly become a favorite amongst you all! Just place in some traditional black planter boxes for a classic look.

 

4.) Trash cans – yes you heard me right. You can use trash cans. I got these black plastic waste paper baskets from The Dollar Store and used them as planters for my mums!

6.) Pumpkin topiary in urns – Urns just add a stately aesthetic and I love how my friend Jennifer from Midwest Life and Style used hers as a planter idea for a classic pumpkin topiary. (You can see her whole porch here). I’ve also used urns for boxwood topiaries and even for my cornstalks!
