Nesting on this snowy day in January.

We are in full winter storm warning over here and the homebody in me has been waiting for this. I’ve got my stack of books ready to go, my snacks, the fireplace is roaring, and I’m ready for a cozy day or two.

It was a beautiful day yesterday celebrating my baby sister’s bridal shower.  Isn’t she gorgeous?

The theme was “Snow in Love” and it was the perfect weekend for it, the weather got the memo.

My mom got my sisters and I these matching jackets and you will not believe where they are from! I will link them here.

And we’re hoping for a snow day tomorrow because we could definitely  use an extra day 🙂

What I’m watching and reading:

The Pitt. Oh my gosh! If you are looking for a new series to get hooked on you have to watch The Pitt.  The whole season takes place over one shift in a bustling Philadelphia ER. As a nurse, I am obsessed but even Rick loves it too. It’s become our favorite show to watch together. The characters are just so well done. You can stream it on HBO Max.

His and Hers. This was a very twisty thriller you can binge in one sitting. It’s created after the Alice Feeney book, His and Hers and is streaming on Netflix. And omg I never knew who Jon Bernthal was before this, and wow, he’s my new crush.

 

Traitors. This is a reality game show on Peacock and while I’ve never really gotten into it, I am loving this latest season. The cast is perfection. Donna Kelce, Lisa Rinna, Dorinda Medley, Tara Lipinski (who was my idol as a figure skater growing up), are all in this season competing against each other.

Half His Age – This book is one of the most anticipated new releases of the year. It just came out this week so I just started it! It’s juicy, scandalous and a little bit uncomfortable.

Latest Amazon Finds

These were last week’s best seller. My son has them and they are all the rage at school. 

These non candy class Valentine ideas for the kids. 

I’m trying not to buy things just because but I saw this top and to get it just because.

My dress for my sister’s shower was a last minute Amazon buy. It comes in so many colors. I am wearing “coffee”.
