This simple fall tablescape is classic and understated whether you’re looking to decorate the dining room or entertain guests.

I just love the look of a set table don’t you? But to be honest, if you’ve been following for awhile, you know I keep things very informal around here. So for this fall tablescape, I wanted it to be simple and understated yet something that you could also replicate if you were having guests over or for Thanksgiving.  Let me show you how I put this simple fall tablescape together using our white every day dishes and adding in some autumnal and gold hues.

I always start by gathering things I already have at home and taking an inventory first. I will usually see from there if I can come up with a coordinating color palette.

I started with white every day dishware and brown woven placemats that I had. I layered it on top of these beautiful blue chargers I got from Amazon.

I had the brown linen napkins already. I knew that I was going to add my gold candlesticks to the table so I decided to complement them with some gold napkin rings. I found these gold metal leaf rings on Amazon as well.

I love to decorate using amber and teal glass bottles so I decided to use those to create a centerpiece.  To add a seasonal pop of color I filled the bottles with faux leaves in rich orange hues.

I love how this looks, a classic way to decorate the dining room for fall or Thanksgiving.

Now you could most certainly add a table runner if you wanted to. I liked how it looked without.

When setting my tables for every day I don’t set with flatware just because it’s less for the kids to play with and get their hands on. If you’re having guests over, I would choose a beautiful gold flatware.

I’m linking some of the items I used below.

How to create an easy fall table centerpiece

How to create an easy fall table centerpiece

Today I am showing you how to create an easy fall table centerpiece. Yesterday I switched up our dining room table decor. I was ready to add a few autumnal touches but didn’t want to spend any more money. So what did I do? I shopped my home. That’s right. I went around the house and gathered items that I already had and put together this easy fall table centerpiece.

I chose to go with cozy neutrals, and warm orange tones and I love the way it came out!

How to create an easy fall table centerpiece

Start by collecting your items. You will need a blanket, scarf or some other type of linen, a tray, candles, vases, faux flowers, and some pumpkins or pinecones, real or faux.

Then place your tray or basket to collect all the decorative items.

Add your vases and faux florals, some candles and pumpkins or pinecones. The Dollar Store, Michaels, and Target Dollar Bin are some of my favorite places to find faux florals.

I love the soft glow from these amber vases with these long taper candles.

Are you ready for an easy fall DIY? Today I’m showing you how I upcycled these pumpkins using hot glue and paint to make a cozy fall tablescape. Scroll down to see how I made these DIY hot glue painted pumpkins. And for more pumpkin inspiration, check out my friend’s posts below because we’ve got a pumpkin roundup!

The first leaf fell off the tree outside and Rick made fun of me because I started transforming our home into all things fall. This past weekend, I lit my fall candles, made a bundt cake and switched up our dining room decor for a fall tablescape. I found these faux pumpkins I had from last year. I wanted a little more of a muted neutral palette so decided to give them an upgrade with glue and paint. Here’s what I did.

You will need:

Using hot glue, I made a few little designs. I had some leftover split wooden beads from my DIY beaded wreath and added those as well. I let them dry completely before painting.

Then I painted them using acrylic paint. I did a total of 3 coats, making sure to get in all the nooks and crannies and allowing them to fully dry between each coat.

Look what a little glue and paint can do!!!
