Now on to The Perfect Strawberry Lemonade Momosa for Mother’s Day

I love a classic mimosa but have you ever had a strawberry lemonade mimosa? This is such a sweet and refreshing sip and the rose shaped ice cubes are so pretty! You will need these ice cube molds to make the roses. You can do any shape, and Amazon has several to choose from but I loved the roses for spring and Mother’s Day. It would be perfect for a Mother’s Day tea or brunch. If you’re looking for Mother’s Day tea ideas, make sure you check out this post from last year to see our Mother’s Day tea with my DIY tea bags.

This can easily be made into a mocktail too with some non-alcoholic bubbles.

Here is my recipe

Ingredients:

  • Lemonade
  • Pureed strawberries (I used frozen strawberries but made sure they were thawed)
  • champagne
  • lemon zest (optional)
  • chopped basil (optional)

Directions:

1.) Start by preparing the mixture to fill your ice molds. In a mason jar I combined lemonade, a few spoonfuls of pureed strawberries and a pinch of chopped basil and mixed well. (You don’t have to add basil but I had some in my fridge and I love the flavor of strawberry and basil together).

2.) Sprinkle some lemon zest into the ice molds then fill each with the strawberry lemonade mixture. Save the leftover strawberry lemonade in a mason jar in the fridge.

3.) Cover the ice cube molds and freeze.

4.) When ready to serve, pop out an ice cube from the mold and place into a glass.

Lilac Lemonade

Lilac lemonade

This lilac lemonade very quickly became a favorite among my Instagram friends (if you don’t follow me on IG click here!) so I thought it deserved a permanent spot on the blog. Who knew lilacs were edible? If you love the smell of these beautiful purple flowers, try adding a few sprigs into your lemonade. It’s just the right amount of lilac.
