These no sew dropcloth curtains are an easy way to change the look of any space. Recently we updated our living room decor (you can see the post here). We got rid of the old sheers that we had hanging and added these for some easy and inexpensive farmhouse flair.
This is probably one of the EASIEST diys I have ever shared. There’s no sewing or cutting and it’s super cheap. It’s literally 2 steps and will totally warm up any room. Check out the tutorial below.

No sew dropcloth curtain tutorial
You will need:
- 2 Dropcloths (got mine on Amazon here)
- Curtain hooks (Again Amazon for the win)
Instructions:
1.) The first thing I did was I took my dropcloths out of the package and washed them with a generous amount of fabric softener, then threw them in the dryer. This was probably the part of the tutorial that took the most time. Dropcloths can be tough and scratchy and I wanted mine to have more of a soft, linen-like feel. This also faded the color a little bit which I think makes it look more rustic. You can totally skip this step if you like the dropcloths as is when you get them.
2.) Next I laid out each drop cloth on the floor and folded the top part down about 24 inches. (You will need to measure your window for the part to determine how much of the material you are going to fold down on top so that it hits the floor at the right lenght).
3.) Then with your curtain clips on the curtain rod, clip the folded part of the dropcloth with the ruffle facing the front.
Then just fluff.
That’s it. Super easy. I love an easy farmhouse DIY and I just may add these to some of the other rooms in our house.
