Earth Day Seed Bombs

If you’re looking for a cute and super easy Earth Day activity to do with your kid this is it – Earth Day seed bombs. That’s right, little balls of paper that look like earth that you can plant to grow wildflowers.

Planting seeds is a fun way to celebrate Earth Day and spring. Little ones will have a ball helping to shred the paper and can form them into balls. These seed bombs are a fun science activity you could do at school too! Scroll down to see my DIY for these Earth Day Seed Bombs.

You will need:

Directions:

1.) Take your scrap pieces of blue and green paper and rip in small pieces. I let my guys help me with this part and sort into bowls by matching color.

2.) Fill each bowl with warm water, enough to cover the top and let sit for 30 minutes.

4.) Squeeze out any additional water and put the shredded paper back in separate bowls.

5.) Take your wildflower seeds and sprinkle into the blue bowl, mix together

6.) Take a handful of blue paper/seed mixture and roll into a ball.

7.) Take some small pieces of shredded green paper and place into ball and roll to combine, making an earth shape.

8.) If planting right away, you can plant right in the ground following the directions on the back of the seed packet. If you’re not planting right away, let your seed bombs dry on a pan or cookie sheet lined with paper towel. Just soak for a little bit prior to planting.

Halloween Boo bags

Halloween Boo Bags

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of HERSHEY® for SheSpeaks.  All opinions are 100% mine.

Halloween is one of our favorite times of year! This year, we are keeping the festivities going with some fun new ideas and  I still plan on eating REESE’s peanut butter cups all October long. One of the things we plan to do this year is “Boo’ing” our friends and neighbors. This is a fun and easy activity that will surely become a tradition.

Little unsuspected surprises have become even sweeter these days. I love this idea of surprising your friends and neighbors. Basically, the idea is you leave a little bag or bucket of Halloween treats on their doorstep and encourage them to do the same to some of their friends. Walmart makes it easy to get all of your supplies in one place!

Below, I’m sharing how to create your own “Boo” buckets to “Boo” all of your friends and help spread the tricks and treats.

Halloween Boo Bags

You will need:

  • Candy
  • Buckets
  • Paper (for your “Boo” tags – you can download below using my free printable)
  • Ribbon

Directions:

1.) Stock up on all of your favorite candies to fill your “Boo” buckets at Walmart. You can also find the buckets in the party section.
