It’s National Margarita Day!!! And I have the most delicious and refreshing margarita recipe for you! This cucumber elderflower margarita is so light it’s the perfect drink for spring and all throughout summer. Scroll down for my recipe below.

Cucumber Elderflower Margarita

Cucumber Elderflower Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 6-8 cucumber slices (sliced thin)
  • 1/2 lime wedge
  • 2 1/2 oz tequila (my favorite is Casa Amigos)
  • 1/2 oz St Germain Elderflower Liquer
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • salt (optional for the rim)

Directions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, squeeze the juice of the lime, adding the wedge and muddling together the lime and cucumbers.
  2. Add to the shaker ice, tequila, Elderflower liquer, and honey.
  3. Shake well.
  4. Take your glass and a slice of cucumber. Rub the cucumber around the rim of your glass then dip into salt. (This is the cutest lime and salt rimmer)
  5. Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into your salt rimmed glass.
  6. Enjoy!

Cucumber Elderflower Margarita

This is a light and refreshing twist on the traditional margarita. A great drink for spring and summer with notes of cucumber and elderflower.
Prep Time 5 mins
Course Drinks
Servings 1 glass

Ingredients
  

  • 6-8 cucumber slices sliced thin
  • 1/2 lime wedge
  • 2 1/2 oz tequila
  • 1/2 oz St Germain Elderflower liquer
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • salt optional

Instructions
 

  • In a cocktail shaker, squeeze the juice of the lime, adding the wedge and muddling together the lime and cucumbers.
  • Add to the shaker ice, tequila, Elderflower liquer, and honey.
  • Shake well.
  • Take your glass and a slice of cucumber. Rub the cucumber around the rim of your glass then dip into salt.

Spicy Watermelon Margaritas

Spicy watermelon margarita

I had my first spicy margarita recently. If you know me, I don’t like spicy things. But ever since I’ve had that spicy marg, I was hooked and I’ve been wanting to create my own. Fresh watermelon, limes and jalapenos makes this drink soooo refreshing and the perfect contrast of heat and coolness. Scroll down below for my Spicy watermelon margarita recipe.

Spicy Watermelon Margarita

Spicy Watermelon Margarita

Course Drinks
Servings 1 glass

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup watermelon fresh watermelon juice
  • 1 lime fresh squeezed juice of lime
  • 1 shot blanco tequila (I prefer Casa Amigos)
  • 1 jalapeno cut into slices
  • 1 tsp agave or simple syrup
  • salt to rim your glass

Instructions
 

  • Using an immersion blender or regular blender, blend your watermelon until juiced.
  • In a cocktail shaker, add ice, watermelon juice, lime juice, tequila, agave.
  • Add a few slices of jalapeno, depending on how spicy you want it.
  • Shake well.
  • Rim your glass with salt (or sugar if you prefer). I think salt works better for this one.
  • Pour your cocktail mixture into glass.
  • Add a few jalapeno slices on top and garnish with a slice of watermelon.
  • Tip: Take one of your jalapeno slices and rub around the rim of your glass for the perfect kick with each sip 🙂
