Crisp apples, with creamy brie, sweet caramelized onions, and hot honey are all baked to perfection on a crisp flatbread and topped with arugula that will have your mouth bursting with deliciousness.

It’s apple season! And the ladies of the Cozy Creative Collaborative and I have gotten together this month to bring you some warm and comforting apple recipes. I love apples paired with brie cheese, I think it’s a great fall combo. So I decided to make these apple and brie flatbreads with hot honey. These are a quick appetizer or my favorite way to enjoy an upscale pizza in the fall. Bake them in the oven or enjoy on the grill!

If you are coming over from Kelly at The Tattered Pew, doesn’t her simmer pot look amazing? I love doing simmer pots and I bet hers smells incredible! I can’t wait to try it!

Now here is my recipe for my apple and brie flatbread with hot honey.

Apple and brie flatbread with hot honey

We do family pizza night in our house every Friday. We love to make our own personal pizzas with Naan flatbread. I always top mine with arugula and usually a drizzle of balsamic glaze because it’s sooooo good! For fall I like to switch it up and do apple and brie on my flatbread. I still top with my arugula but I recently discovered this hot honey and it’s a game changer! I think you will love my recipe too!

Ingredients:

Directions:

1.) Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

2.) Start by making the onions first as this takes a bit of time. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt some butter and add the onions. Turn the heat down to low and allow to saute until they are cooked and slightly golden brown.

3.) Line a baking sheet with some parchment paper and lay out the flatbreads.

4.) Drizzle the flatbreads with some olive oil and then add the onions on top, spreading out evenly.

5.) Top with the sliced apples and chunks of brie.

The Best Deviled Egg Dip

The best deviled egg dip

This post contains affiliate links

This is the greatest appetizer if you love Deviled Eggs.  To me, it’s not a holiday gathering without the deviled eggs. This is the best deviled egg dip you will ever have. It’s a nice healthy option for Easter or those spring or summer bar-b-ques. The best part is it’s way easier to prepare too! Serve with some fresh veggies and crackers.

The best deviled egg dip

This dip is the perfect way to use up those hard boiled eggs after Easter and makes a great light lunch or snack. You can add whatever seasonings you’d like. I chose to do traditional dill and paprika. Everything But The Bagel Seasoning works really well too! This will be a hit at your Easter table or any party you go to!

The best deviled egg dip

Directions:

1.) Start by hard boiling a half dozen eggs.

2.) Once boiled, I like to let mine cool in an ice bath which makes for easier peeling.

How to make the best goat cheese board

How to make a goat cheese board You will need:

  • a large board
  • goat cheese (I used 2 logs)
  • toppings

When choosing toppings you can pick whatever you want but here are some things that I think are great options:

  • nuts
  • dried fruits (aprciots, cherries, cranberries)
  • jellies, preserves or an apple/pumpkin butter
  • cured meats
  • fresh herbs
  • drizzle with honey, balsamic glaze, olive oil
  • serve with some crackers, pita chips, or crostini

I chose to make a trio of different flavors so there’s a variety but you can do whatever you’d like!

Here is my recipe:

You will want to start by taking your goat cheese out of the refrigerator and allowing to get to room temp to make it easy to spread. Using a spoon or spatula, spread onto your board. Goat cheese board whipped goat cheese Divide the board into 3 sections lengthwise. In the first section, top with dried cherries, dried apricots and nuts. Drizzle with honey. goat cheese board In the middle, top with some pepper jelly. goat cheese with red pepper jelly On the last section, top with blackberries, chopped basil, grated lemon and drizzle with balsamic glaze. Pumpkin baked brie

Pumpkin baked brie

Warm and gooey pumpkin baked brie is an easy appetizer that you’ll want to make all fall long and through the holidays!

If you’ve been following for awhile you know that the way to my heart is with cheese. In fact, bread and cheese are my love language. This past weekend it was in the high 70s/80s but it was the first football Sunday and I was craving all the fall comforts. So I lit a candle, played my autumn playlist (click here for the playlist) and made myself a gooey wheel of baked brie filled with warm pumpkin apple butter.

So what is baked brie exactly? First you bite into this crispy, flaky puff pastry that is filled with oozing brie cheese, melted to perfection. It’s really good paired with some crackers or apples and the addition of the warm pumpkin butter makes this perfect for the fall or the holidays. Scroll down for my delicious pumpkin baked brie recipe.

Pumpkin Baked Brie

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry

  • Baker’s twine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 sage leaf
  • 1 honey pretzel twist

Directions:

1.) Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.

2.) Line a baking dish with parchment paper and roll out the puff pastry sheet on top.

3.) Spoon about 3 tbsps of pumpkin butter onto the center of the puff pastry.

4.) Place the brie cheese wheel on top of the pumpkin butter spread.

5.) Draw a circle with a butter knife around the cheese, leaving about 2 inches of dough around the border.

6.) Bring the edges of the puff pastry dough to the top so that the whole wheel of cheese is covered.

7.) Cut 5 strings of kitchen twine in equal length and lay out on the parchment paper in a spider’s web formation.

8.) Place the dough wrapped cheese on top of the twine and bring up each opposite side of twine, tying in the center.

9.) Make an egg wash with 1 egg and water, whisk it together and brush over the top of the puff pastry dough.

10.) Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or so, until the dough is golden brown.

11.) Remove from the oven, cutting and discarding the twine.

12.) Place a honey pretzel twist on top for the stem and sage leaf.

13.) Serve immediately with crackers, apples and some nuts.
