Nesting on this first Sunday in October.

Happy October 1st! It’s officially my favorite month of the year!

Is anyone else going to be watching the Chiefs game tonight to see Taylor, I mean Travis Kelce? Rooting for them!!!

This month I’m looking forward to:

Celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary.

Celebrating my Dude Man’s 7th birthday with all his friends.

Enjoying the Era’s tour on the big screen with friends.

All the Halloween parties, trunk or treats and festivities.

It’s been a really busy few weeks lately on the blog. Here’s what’s been happening:

I shared my Fall front porch featuring those planter boxes I scored from Aldi and these pretty trees from Amazon.

You can shop my whole front porch here.

This apple and brie flatbread is a yummy fall appetizer or a bougie way to eat pizza. Sharing the recipe here.

If you’re looking for a new book to read, I shared 15 books for fall. There’s everything from suspenseful thrillers to feel good cozy stories. You can see the whole list here.

On Thursday I got together with some new friends on Instagram and we all shared some Halloween treats. I shared my homemade candy corn vodka and tipsy candy corn cold brew. See how to make it, and all the treats here.

Nesting on this chilly September Sunday morning.

I’m just gonna say it. Meg Ryan is officially the queen of fall. You know how we coined Diane Keaton and Meryl Streep as the ultimate coastal grandmother? Well Meg Ryan is the queen of fall and I’m here for the Meg Ryan Fall Aesthetic.

This week NSYNC officially announced what all fans were secretly hoping for and reunited for a new song. Does this mean that a comeback concert is happening? I saw this thing that said “if your year of birth doesn’t start with a 1, I’m gonna ask that you just sit this one out and allow us to live out our fantasy” and I completely agree!

I used to have a jean skirt just like this and I’m pretty sure it was from the Delia’s catalog. It looks like they are making a comeback. Are the 90’s back???

It’s the start of apple picking season and can I just say apples and brie is one of my favorite combos?

I’ve got an apple and brie recipe coming up next week so stay tuned if that’s your thing!

Speaking of the blog, this is what’s been happening lately:

We’ve talked about drying your hydrangeas for fall decor but this hydrangea garland is just beautiful.

I saw this on Instagram and thought it was the cutest way to upgrade a family photo for Halloween.

The first Nesting of September.

Hope you all are enjoying your beautiful Labor Day Weekend. We’re getting some last minute pool hangs in before it gets too cool. And this weekend, I will be having a pina colada and cheeseburger in paradise in Jimmy Buffet’s honor. RIP Jimmy.

I always love Labor Day Weekend because it’s like one last hurrah of summer before fall, my two favorite things.

Some things I’m looking forward to in September:

  • Sending the kids off to school and going out to celebrate with mom friends for some mimosas and espresso martinis!
  • Going apple picking.

Nesting on this last Sunday morning of August.

I have been solo with the kids since Thursday night and Rick finally comes home today! Hallelujah! We’ve missed him.

School starts back up in less than 2 weeks. I’m ready to get back into a routine and settle into the coziness that comes with autumn.

I used to love going back to school shopping with my mom when I was younger. It looks just a little different with boys. Obviously we had to go to the new Dick’s Warehouse.

Speaking of back to school, this week I shared this back to school snack mix. I like to leave it out in a little jar so the kids can nibble and help themselves when they come home.

I went to Target earlier this week and the Dollar Spot was rocking with so many cute things for fall. I picked up this little apple basket and decided to make a little teacher gift for when we go meet the teacher and drop off school supplies the day before. Linking it here.

I’m really loving this nail polish color for fall.

Do you get real mums or faux? I’ve been decorating my front porch with these for the past 3 years. What do you think?
