DIY snowglobe ornament

Make this cute and easy DIY snowglobe ornament in under 5 minutes using some bottle brush trees and faux snow. These are the perfect touch to your Christmas tree no matter your theme or decor style! They add just the right touch of sparkle! Scroll down to see how I made these.

DIY Snowglobe Ornament

I love adding a few handmade ornaments to the tree in addition to some classic ball ornaments. This year I chose to do a winter white neutral theme and got the idea to add a few snowglobe ornaments. These were so easy to make and you could fill with just about anything. I used some leftover bottle brush trees but I think pine cones would be really pretty too!

You will need:

Jar ornament
Bottle brush trees
Faux snow
Hot glue gun

Start by heating up your glue gun and unscrew the lid off the jar.

Once the hot glue gun is warmed up, add some glue to the bottom of your bottle brush tree and place standing up on the inside bottom lid of the jar.

Fill the inside of the jar with some faux snow.

Once the glue on the lid is dry, screw the lid back on the jar.

4 Easy Gift Wrapping Ideas

Christmas is the season of giving. I love watching people’s faces as they open their gifts and you’ve given them something that they truly wanted and wished for. And when a gift is beautifully wrapped, it just makes it even better. It shows that the person truly took the time to make them feel special. Below I’m sharing 4 easy gift wrapping ideas. Scroll down for some inspiration and I’ve linked everything too so you can recreate it!

4 Easy Gift Wrapping Ideas

I like to use kraft paper. I think it’s so simple, neutral and there are so many different ways you can style and decorate it.

1.) Use dried orange slices and natural elements.

I make dried orange slices every year! They’re great for gift toppers, ornaments and garlands. Here I used some twine and strung a citrus slice and bell and tied it around the package. Then I stuck in a sprig of rosemary. Fresh greens from tree clippings works too and most places will give you the clippings for free.

2.) Top with puffy loop yarn and a candy cane.

This puffy loop yarn gives it a little more of a whimsical flair. You can use this to string around your tree like garland too!

And then I added a little candy cane.

The next two ideas are from two of my friends on Instagram.

3.) Make a reindeer

I love this idea from my friend Lynn @snapsbylynn. She drew some eyes and antlers and added a little pom pom for the nose.

4.) Draw a gingerbread house.

My friend Lana at The Whitewood Cottage used a white marker to draw some cute gingerbread houses on her package. It came out super cute!

The Best Christmas Tree Dip

You know those amazingly delicious Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes? Picture them in a delicious cream cheese/cool whip dip! Christmas Tree Dip is THE dip you need to be snacking on leading up to Christmas. I originally saw this on Tik Tok and obviously had to try it. The original was a little too sweet so I made a couple little changes. Scroll down for the best Christmas Tree Dip.

The Best Christmas Tree Dip

Ingredients:

2 boxes of Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (if your stores are sold out, click here to get a 2 pack on Amazon).
8 oz cream cheese (room temp)
1/3 cup milk
1 container Cool Whip
sprinkles (optional)

Directions:

Unwrap the Christmas Tree Cakes and break up in smaller pieces, putting in a large bowl.
Add in the cream cheese and milk then blend together.
Fold in the Cool Whip.
Transfer to a serving bowl and top with sprinkles.
If not eating right away, or you want to save leftovers, put in a container and freeze.
Serve with some things for dipping. I got some cute snowman graham crackers from Aldi. I also like to serve it with sliced apples, or pretzels.

How to make dried orange slice ornaments

Dried orange slices make such pretty holiday decor for garlands and ornaments. Not only is it very simplistic, but you can use to decorate past the holidays through the winter months. Scroll down to learn how to dry orange slices and make these dried orange slice ornaments.

How to dry orange slices

It’s super easy to dry orange slices. I also do grapefruits too because I just love the color!

Start by preheating your oven to 200 degrees F.
Slice your oranges and grapefruits about 1/4 inch thick.
Line a baking sheet with parchment and place the citruses on the parchment paper.
Bake in the oven for about 5-6 hours, flipping regularly so that each side is dried evenly.
Let cool

How to make dried orange slice ornaments

You will need:

a needle with a large eye
twine
cranberries
orange slices
Scissors

Directions:

Start by threading some or the twine through the eye of the needle.
With the point end of your needle, pierce the cranberry and pull it through so that it is on the twine.
Repeat with the orange slices and cranberries in whatever pattern you choose.
Cut the twine and tie the ends together.
