It’s my first blogversary! One whole year since I first hit publish on this sweet little space of mine.
I first started this blog as a medium to get my thoughts and feelings out into the universe, almost as a type of therapy if you will. After going through infertility, pregnancy and the ups and downs of becoming a first time mom, I felt like I had alot to say and was inspired to share my experiences. Throughout blogging this past year, I’ve had the chance to connect with so many amazing women and it has led me to some pretty cool opportunities too.
So in honor of my first blogversary, let’s take a trip down memory lane shall we…
My very first post –
To the mother suffering from mom guilt
When I first became a mom, I was constantly comparing myself to others. And you know what they say about comparison – it’s a thief. One of the very first lessons I learned quickly, there’s no right way to be a mother.
Most popular post –
30 things your Labor & Delivery Nurse wants you to know
I absolutely love love love my job! I can’t imagine doing anything else and I love helping women during such a monumental point in their lives.
Post I am most proud of –
I was suffering from Postpartum Depression and Anxiety and didn’t know it
It wasn’t easy for me to put it all out there but I think it’s a topic we need to start discussing more openly to help break the stigma.
Where I’m headed…
So next month our family moves into our new home, another nest to furnish and decorate and make my own! I plan on sharing all the deets with you throughout the process, with some DIYs and a house tour.
And of course more tales on motherhood (we start potty training soon, need I say more), my Target and Amazon finds, and random thoughts.
Happy first birthday Our Tiny Nest! And to all, thank you so much for following along!
