This is the perfect Strawberry Lemonade Momosa if you are looking for a way to treat mom for Mother’s Day. Sweet strawberry lemonade is frozen into beautiful floral ice molds and topped off with champagne for the perfect mimosa for her on Mother’s Day or any spring brunch. It would also be a beautiful drink to serve at a bridal shower as well! Scroll down for my recipe and more Mother’s Day ideas from my friends at the Cozy Creative Collaborative.

Now on to The Perfect Strawberry Lemonade Momosa for Mother’s Day

I love a classic mimosa but have you ever had a strawberry lemonade mimosa? This is such a sweet and refreshing sip and the rose shaped ice cubes are so pretty! You will need these ice cube molds to make the roses. You can do any shape, and Amazon has several to choose from but I loved the roses for spring and Mother’s Day. It would be perfect for a Mother’s Day tea or brunch. If you’re looking for Mother’s Day tea ideas, make sure you check out this post from last year to see our Mother’s Day tea with my DIY tea bags.

This can easily be made into a mocktail too with some non-alcoholic bubbles.

Here is my recipe

Ingredients:

  • Lemonade
  • Pureed strawberries (I used frozen strawberries but made sure they were thawed)
  • champagne
  • lemon zest (optional)
  • chopped basil (optional)

Directions:

1.) Start by preparing the mixture to fill your ice molds. In a mason jar I combined lemonade, a few spoonfuls of pureed strawberries and a pinch of chopped basil and mixed well. (You don’t have to add basil but I had some in my fridge and I love the flavor of strawberry and basil together).

2.) Sprinkle some lemon zest into the ice molds then fill each with the strawberry lemonade mixture. Save the leftover strawberry lemonade in a mason jar in the fridge.

3.) Cover the ice cube molds and freeze.

4.) When ready to serve, pop out an ice cube from the mold and place into a glass.

5.) Top with champagne or prosecco.

The rose ice mold is very interesting. I have had mimosas made with orange juice. But the strawberry lemonade mimosa looks like a vibe. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
