It’s the first Nesting of 2023!

How is your year going so far? I have to be honest I have been slow to get back in the swing of things with blogging and just things in general around the house. I read this quote the other day and it perfectly summed up my feelings, “I’m wintering”. So I’m sharing here in case you’re feeling the same way and feeling guilty for being lazy. Give yourself some grace and allow yourself to go through the season of winter.

Wintering quote

We got the best news over the holidays and I can finally share! I found out I am going to be an auntie in June! There’s a new little boy joining the cousin crew! We couldn’t be more excited for my sister and brother in law! They are just the cutest.

Congrats auntie!! It’s such a great job. It’s just my brother and I and we both have one child. Both boys are 25 years apart. My brother is a little slow in doing things. He waited until he was 45 to have a child. My little nephew is 6’6″ and weighs about 260. Yea, he’s our linebacker and a senior in HS. It’s been such a joy to watch him grow up. It was like watching my brother grow up all over.

Thank you for the Wintering quote Nicolle, now I understand why I’ve always dreaded January, it’s because I do lack energy and feel lazy, now I can just relax and enjoy it!

Congratulations on the new baby! That is so exciting and I know you’ll make an amazing aunt. Thanks so much for sharing my home challenge post. I really appreciate it! I love your Monday Morning reset idea so much. I’ve recently started incorporating Tumeric into my day and it’s made a huge difference. Thanks so much for the drink recipe. I can’t wait to try it and share it on Friday! Hugs, CoCo
