Nesting

Nesting on this last beautiful weekend of August.

1.)This outfit has been on repeat. It’s so comfortable and perfect for busy weekends or running errands. Visit my LiketoKnowIt for links.

2.) There’s something special about these last few weekends of summer, soaking up the last of those summer days yet knowing that the magic of fall is approaching. It’s going to be beautiful this weekend and I plan to be poolside sipping on this drink, or this one, I can’t decide.

3.) Is it acceptable to paint my nails in my fall color yet? I love this OPI Midnight in Moscow. Also I think it would be a cool job just to come up with nail polish colors.

4.) We collected the last harvest from our garden. Honestly there wasn’t much this year because of the extreme heat but we did get some zucchinis and are growing our first pumpkin! If you’ve got more zucchini than you know what to do with, I’ve got some great recipes, including these fudgy zucchini brownies, these Greek turkey meatball bowls and this creamy zucchini corn chowder.

5.) We’re getting ready to send our oldest to kindergarten in a few weeks. How I will have a kindergartner I have no idea because I feel like we just brought him home from the hospital. If you’re getting ready to send your little ones back I have a fun DIY countdown or check out this back to school basket as a way to get them excited!

6.) The inside of my house is a little confused because I still have up some summer decor and am slowly transitioning in some stuff for fall and Halloween. I went shopping last weekend and bought so many cute things, don’t tell Rick 🙂

These are some of my favorite fall finds for the home.

I’m excited because I have some really good fall inspired DIY’s coming these next few weeks! So make sure you’re subscribed to the blog if you’re not already so you don’t miss anything!

And now for this week’s inspiration from my friends on the Internet

By now you’ve probably seen those gorgeous Pottery Barn pumpkins. Charity from Mornings on Macedonia has this easy DIY dupe.

Speaking of zucchini, my friend Wendy from WMDesign House made these gorgeous puff pastry zucchini roses. I just bought some puff pastry and will be making these this weekend!

This cinnamon swirl pumpkin bread from Pinecones and Acorns looks absolutely delish and now I want a slice with my morning coffee.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
